Greece, Cyprus and Egypt signed an electricity agreement on October 19, which may include solar power generation in Egypt and may provide electricity to other European countries.

The agreement involves the "interconnection" of neighbouring countries and the transmission of electricity to their respective networks.

With the diversification of energy sources, Egypt can become a power supplier mainly produced by solar energy, and Greece will become a distribution station in Europe.

At present, countries around the world are facing an energy crisis, and the prices of natural gas, oil and coal are rising.

The agreement aims to "strengthen energy cooperation".

The three Mediterranean neighbours said in a joint statement: "this interconnection strengthens cooperation and energy security, not only among the three countries, but also with Europe."
