According to foreign media news on April 6, Italy's Eni Group stated on April 6 that the company's infrastructure-led exploration work has discovered an estimated 250 million barrels of oil reserves in the Cuica prospective area off Angola.

The Cuica-1 NFW well is located near Armada Olombendo FPSO (Eastern Hub), located in Block 15/06, drilled by the Libongos drilling ship to a vertical depth of 4100 meters. The Italian energy company said that the well found an 80-meter-long light oil column in the Miocene sandstone and described its petrophysical properties as good.
