The Norwegian Petroleum Authority announced, ConocoPhillips has discovered a large oil field north of the Heidrun field in the Norwegian Sea with an estimated available reserves of between 76 million and 201 million barrels of oil equivalent and can be exploited using the region's existing infrastructure. 

It was second major oil and gas discovery in the Norwegian Sea by Conofi Petroleum's in two months. Last November, the company discovered natural gas southwest of the Skarv gas field.
